Intermediate Periwinkle Pale blue or sometimes pale lilac-mauve flowers, 5-petalled. Calyx lobes hairless. Evergreen leaves, lanceolate-obvate, opposite, entire. Hairless leaf margins. Stems ascending/arching to procumbent, to 2m. Flower stems to 30cm. Similar to Lesser Periwinkle, but with larger, stronger growth. Well drained sunny or shady ground, roadsides, banks, woodland. Occasional garden escape or relic of cultivation. |
