Primula x polyantha (P. vulgaris x P. veris)
Family: Primulaceae

Naturally occuring hybrid between Primrose and Cowslip. Native.

Intermediate in flower, leaf and pubescence.
Flowers normally in umbel on leafless flower stalk (scape).
Partially fertile. Can be confused with garden Polyanthus.

Occurs sporadically where parent species are growing in close proximity.
Woodland, scrub, hedgerows. Mainly recorded from central Ireland.
