White or lilac-white flowers in often drooping racemes. Self-seeds. Spear-shaped leaves, opposite, shiny light-green. Slightly toothed. Upright branches. To 2m.

Usually found near habitation. Waste ground, walls, quarries, also occasional on coasts. Mainly recorded from NE Ireland. Garden escape.
