Russian Comfrey Bell-shaped flowers, usually pink at first then purplish-violet. Upper stem-leaves narrowly winged below leaves. Slightly bristly stems. Height: To 1.5 m Damp ground, riversides, marshes, wet roadsides. Garden escape. Similar: Common Comfrey, S. officinale. Flowers pale creamy-yellow, sometimes purplish. Most frequent N Ireland. |
