Flowering time: July-August. Perennial. Native.

Leafy panicles of yellow flowers, Narrow-triangular sepals.
Pointed oval-lanceolate leaves, 3-4 in whorls, sometimes alternate.
Stalkless or short-stalked. Semi-evergreen. Height: 60-120cm.

Marshes and damp ground, especially near ponds and rivers.
