Flowering time: July-September. Perennial. Introduced.

Trumpet-shaped white flowers, sometimes pink-striped. Larger than those of Hedge Bindweed, C. sepium. Inflated overlapping bracteoles, more/less covering sepals. Seed-set poor, mainly spreads vegetatively. Climbing or scrambling growth. Usually found near habitation. Hedgerows, roadsides, waste ground.
