Flowering time: June-August. Perennial. Native.

Tiny reddish-green flowers in branched, well-separated clusters. Leaves narrow oval-lanceolate with rounded bases. Occasionaly red-veined. Flowering branches growing at an acute angle to stem. Height: To 100cm.

Common in woods, waste ground, roadsides. Grows on a range of soils, but prefers damp, shaded clay.
