Flowering time: June-October. Short-lived perennial. Native

Distant whorls of small flowers on leafy branches. Inner tepals un-toothed,
blunt, with 3 oblong warts.
Leaves long-stalked, oblong, bases rounded. Stem leaves narrow, pointed.
Zig-zag stems. Erect, much-branched. Height: To 100cm.

Found on damp ground, often water-logged in winter. Grassland, stream/river banks, muddy paths.
