Flowering time: April-August. Perennial, sometimes annual. Native.

Bright pink flowers, unscented. Opposite, sticky-hairy, broad-lanceolate leaves. Creeping rhizomes. Height: 30-90cm. Hybrids occur with White Campion.

Hedgerows and woods, prefers rich, damp ground. Locally frequent N, E, rare in other parts of Ireland.
