Moth Mullein Spike of long-stalked single yellow or white flowers, purple-haired stamens. Flowers occasionally pale-pink. One flower at each node. pedicels usually longer than calyx. Toothed dark green leaves, short-stalked or stalkless, wrinkled. Glandular hairs usually only upper stem. Height: 60-100cm. Yellow flowered forms can be confused with Twiggy Mullein, V. virgatum Waste and rough ground, rarely persists. Rare garden escape. |
