White or pinkish-white flowers in loose panicles.
Narrow-ovate to lanceolate leaves, sometimes hairy on underside.
Forms thickets, spreads by means of rhizomes. Invasive. Height: to 1.5m

Increasingly found on roadsides, river banks, waste ground.

Similar: Giant Knotweed, Fallopia sachalinensis.
To 3m, greenish-white flowers.
