Flowering time: April-May. Perennial bulb. Native.

Blue flowers, occasionally white or mauve, one-sided on drooping stalks.
Green glossy linear leaves. Spreads vegetatively and by seed. Height: 20-50cm

Locally common. Found in deciduous woodland, hedge banks, grassland and on bracken covered slopes.

Similar: Hybrid Bluebell, H. x massartiana.
