Flowering late spring to autumn. Perennial. Garden escape.

Pinkish-purple flowers, sometimes white. Nettle-like leaves with white-blotches. Clump-forming, rhizomatous plant. Can be invasive.

Grown in gardens for groundcover. Occasionally recorded as garden escape or discard, usually near habitation. Waste ground, roadsides. Capable of persisting.
