Flowering time: January-December. Annual. Native.

Yellow flowers. Ray florets absent or rarely v.small. Black-tipped bracts. Young flowerheads stalkless, stalk lengthens as fruit ripens. Fruit like dandelion clock.
Narrow leaves, irregularly pinnate, lobes toothed, jagged. Weak erect stems,
often red-tinged. Hairless / slightly woolly.Height: 10-35 cm.

Abundant throughout on open disturbed ground.

Similar: Heath Groundsel, S. sylvaticus.
