Flowering August-September. Biennial or perennial. Garden escape.

Magenta-pink flowers in few-flowered terminal racemes, opening singly. Petals very shallowly lobed. Seeds freely. Woolly silver-grey leaves, basal leaves to 18cm, stem leaves to 10cm long. Erect flowering stems, to 80cm.

Grown in gardens in well-drained soil in full sun or partial shade. Infrequently recorded as garden escape or discard.
