Flowering May-September. Annual. Native.

Purple-pink flowers, upper petal with narrow erect margin. Mature flowers and fruiting stalks recurved. Sepals large in proportion to flower, more/less oblong, entire or toothed. Scrambling growth.

Disturbed, free-draining acidic soils. Rare, mainly coastal. Waste, arable and cultivated ground, roadsides. Mainly S, SE Ireland.
