Field Penny-cress Small white flowers, 4-petalled. Followed by round, flat fruit with deep-notched wing. Oblong leaves, slightly lobed or toothed. Upper leaves stalkless, clasping stem. Strong, foetid smell when crushed. Hairless. Height 25-60cm. Disturbed ground, roadsides, waste ground, landfill sites, ports. Fairly widespread casual in southern half of Ireland. |
