Fuchsia Flowers have red sepals and violet petals, downward hanging on long stalks. Fruit is a non-edible black berry. Leaves opposite, elliptical, toothed. Spreads vegetatively by suckers. Height: To 3m. Roadsides, hedges, walls, banks, river banks. Introduced from S. America, now naturalised. Very common along roadsides in SW Ireland. Similar: White Fuchsia |
