Small-leaved Sweet-briar White flowers on smooth stalks. Ripe hips are hairless with flat discs and reflexed sepals, not persisting. Many glands beneath leaves. Leaflets gradually narrowing to base. Erect growth, usually 1-1.5m. Calcareous soils, in hedges and scrub. Rare, mainly recorded from central Ireland, also Co. Cork and Co. Waterford. Identification by Paul Green |
