Flowering time: April-September. Perennial. Native.

Flowers are yellow with 5 rounded petals. Leaves are slightly hairy, pinnate,
with a large terminal lobe and smaller lateral lobes. Height: 25-60 cm

Prefers free-draining, less acidic soils. Common throughout Ireland in woods and hedgebanks. Also found as a common weed of habitation.

Hybridises with Water Avens: G. x intermedium
