Garden Lobelia
Lobelia erinus
Family: Campanulaceae

Flowering June-September. Annual. Garden escape. Introduced.

5-petalled dark blue flowers, also pale-blue, white or reddish-purple forms.
Basal leaves oval, toothed. Stem leaves narrow, more/less untoothed. Prostrate or scambling plant. Height 10-15cm.

Humus-rich moist soil in sun or light shade. Infrequently recorded garden escape or discard, most records from waste ground, rubbish dumps.
