South African Daisy
Osteospernum jucundum

Flowering July-October. Annual, occasionally perennial. Garden escape.

Large pinky-white to purplish flowers with golden centres, closing in dull weather. Narrow leaves. Stems erect when young, become spreading. Can form large straggly clumps. Height to 35cm. The only hardy osteospernum species.

Often grown in gardens on well-drained light soils in full sun. Very infrequently recorded garden escape or discard.
