Pot Marigold
Calendula officinalis
Family: Asteraceae

Flowering June-October. Annual or perennial. Garden escape. Introduced.

Large yellow or orange flowers, many-petalled, seeding freely.
Leaves bright-green, feel slightly sticky. Stems erect or procumbent, to 80cm.

Sunny, well-drained soils, very common in gardens. Sometimes found as garden escape or discard, usually on waste ground, roadsides.
