Flowering March - May. Annual. Introduced.

Small white flowers, petals sometimes absent. Sepals 2-3x longer than petals, hairless or slightly downy. Seed capsule slightly longer than calyx. Slender, yellowish-green plant. Much-branched, sprawling. Short-lived annual.

Open, well-drained ground. Waste and cultivated ground, on dunes and in shingle. Occasional, only recorded from E, SE Ireland. Identified by Paul Green, Co.Wexford
