Flowering June-october. Annual or perennial. Introduced. Garden escape.

Two-lipped tubular flowers in a range of colours, white, yellow, pinkish, red. Naturalised plants often have reddish flowers. Yellow and white forms often common in SE Ireland. Self-seeds freely. Slightly frost-tender.

Garden escape, some established populations naturalised on old walls.
Also found on waste ground, rubbish tips, pavement cracks, often near habitation.
Fairly common, especially E and NE Ireland.
