Eyebrights All taxa in this area are included in the Euphrasia officinalis agg. They are very similar, frequently hybridise and require expert identification. General: Flowering time June-September. Annual. Native. Semi-parasitic. Leafy spikes of white / mauve flowers with yellow blotch and purple/black streaks. Leaves usually opposite, more/less oval, deep-toothed, hairy or hairless. Leaf-like bracts. A short, more/less branched plant that is found throughout Ireland. Can be locally frequent in some areas. |
