Flowering March-April. Perennial. Introduced. Garden escape.

Many colours are grown in cultivation but wild-growing plants are
often yellow flowered. Scented. Height: To 45cm.

Prefers well-drained limey soil. Widespread and often established garden
escape. Found on walls, ruins, waste ground, coastal cliffs.
