Daffodils Many different hybrids and cultivars are grown. Double forms (flore pleno) occur. Trumpet or bowl-shaped flowers with yellow or white tepals surrounding yellow, white or orange coronas. Narrow basal leaves, leafless flower stems. Naturalised from deliberate planting and garden discards. Also relics of cultivation. Most frequently recorded growing in the wild in NE and S Ireland. Roadsides, hedgerows, churchyards, parks, wasteground. |
