Flowering: April-September. Annual or biennial. Introduced.

Open racemes of yellow flowers. Flowers approx 5mm across.
Fruit 4-angled or rounded with stout style. Usually 3.5 to 7cm. Pinnate leaves, large terminal lobe. Usually 5-10 pairs leaflets. Upper stem leaves also pinnate, divided more than halfway to midrib. Erect ridged stems. Height: 30-80cm. Very variable plant.

Scattered distribution in Ireland. Waste and cultivated ground, roadsides.
