Whorls of 2-lipped red-purple flowers in leaf axils. Funnel-shaped
calyx with fine-pointed teeth. Leaves short-stalked, coarse-toothed,
oval-cordate. More/less hairy plant, strong smelling when bruised.
Erect growth. Height: To 1m.

Very occasional, disturbed, nutrient-rich ground, often near habitation.
Hedgerows, waste ground, field edges.
