Flowering: April-June. Annual. Native.

Tiny mid-blue flowers with yellow centres, to 3mm. Lower pedicels shorter than calyx when fruiting. Flowering section of stem is longer than leafy section. Lower leaves in rosette. Hairy leaves and stems. Low growing, sometimes sprawling. Height: 3-15cm, occasionally to 25cm.

Dry, open, infertile ground. Occasional, mainly on dunes in S and SE Ireland.
