Flowering time: June-October. Annual. Native.

Ray-less flower-heads brownish-yellow, bracts brownish, pointed.
Leaves alternate, linear-lanceolate, green above. Undersides and stems covered with silver-grey woolly hairs. Much branched from base. Height: 4-20cm

Frequent on compact damp acidic soils. Paths, roadsides, field gateways, heaths.

Similar: Heath Cudweed, G. silvaticum. Rare perennial. Unbranched stems. Flowerheads pinkish/brownish white. Blunt bracts.
