Flowering time: May-July. Perennial. Native / introduced.

Nodding, spurred flowers, purple-blue, occasionally white.
5 petals, 5 petal-like sepals. Sticky-hairy fruit.
Leaves twice-trifoliate, lobed leaflets. Height: 35-80cm.

Prefers calcareous ground. Rare native in central Ireland. Found as introduced garden escape on roadsides, waste ground, walls.
