Flowering time: May-November. Perennial. Introduced.

White flowers, 2-lipped in dense whorls. Upper lip long, hairy.
Leaves nettle-like but stingless, pointed, coarse-toothed.
Height: 20-60cm.

Fertile waste ground, roadsides, hedgebanks, open woodland. Often found near habitation. Locally frequent, mainly E, NE Ireland.
