Flowering time: August-September. Perennial. Native.

Scented white flowers with yellow-green lip in single spiral.
Basal rosette of oval blue-green leaves next to stem-base, not encircling.
Round stem with bract-like scales. Small, slender, erect plant. Height: 7-20cm.

Found on dry, nutrient-poor, calcareous grassland, dunes, cliff-tops.
Occasional to locally frequent, often coastal. S and W Ireland.
