Flowering time: July-September. Perennial. Native.

Branched clusters of small blue-mauve flowers. Overlapping petals.
Leaves obvate-lanceolate, 1-3 veined, winged stalks. Height: 8-20cm.
Very variable, there are many subspecies recorded, including
Limonium binervosum ssp. pseudotranswallianum for Co. Clare.

Coastal cliffs, rocks, shingle.
Protected in Northern Ireland.
