Flowering time: April-October. Annual. Introduced.

Purplish-pink flowers, reddish-black apex, toothed sepals. Few flowers, in lax racemes. Lower petal has erect margins. Leaves waxy, pale green, much divided. Smooth fruit. Slender plant, spreading/scrambling growth habit. Very variable.

Common on free-draining acidic ground. Gardens, arable and waste ground.
