White Clover Long-stalked white flowers, can be pink-tinged, slight scent. Droop when fading. Trifoliate leaves. Toothed leaflets, oval-heart shaped, often V-shaped marking. Prostrate stems rooting at nodes. Very variable. Height: 10-40cm. Common on grassland, waste ground, roadsides, except on very acidic soil. Similar: Western Clover, T. occidentale. Thicker leaflets without transluscent veins or V-shaped mark. Coastal SE, E Ireland. |
