2-lipped pink/reddish flowers. Upper lip blunt, slightly curved, 2-toothed.
Leaves alternate or opposite. Calyx, flower stalks hairy. Many-stemmed.

Damp moorland. SW, W, NW Ireland. Frequently replaces P. sylvatica in W.Ireland.

Similar: Lousewort, P. sylvatica ssp. sylvatica. Hair-less stems, calyx.
Marsh Lousewort, P. palustris. Hairy stems and calyx, 4-toothed upper lip.
Taller. Wetter habitats.
