Family: Malvaceae

Flowering: June-September. Biennial. Possibly introduced.

Clusters of pink-purple flowers with darker veins in leaf axils.
Leaves with 3-7 toothed, rounded, shallow lobes.
Stems often sprawling. Height: To 1.5m.
Very low-growing forms also occur. (Illustration below centre)

Dry, well-drained soil. Roadsides, waste ground, coasts.
