Flowering time: July-September. Perennial. Native.

Branched clusters of white flowers with greenish-white discs. Pointed, sharp-toothed leaves, lanceolate, more/less hairless. Erect, angular stems, creeping woody rootstock. Height: 20-60cm.

Damp or wet ground on acidic or neutral soils. Meadows, stream-sides, wet heaths, roadsides, waste ground. Common on bare stony ground around some loughs.
