Flowering time: June-September. Rhizomatous perennial. Native.

Narrow racemes of small, greenish-pink flowers. Fruit with 6 carpels.
Fleshy basal leaves. Linear, upperside flat near base, rounded beneath.
Hairless. Height: To 60 cm.

Habitat: Coastal and estuarine salt-marshes.

Similar: Marsh Arrowgrass, T. palustre. Leaves usually deep-furrowed
upperside at base. Laxer flower spike, fruit with 3 carpels, very narrow at base.
Calcareous marshes, wet pastures.
