Pink flowers, 5 un-notched petalled, in forked cymes on branched stems. Often double-flowered. Pale green lanceolate leaves. Straggling growth habit, produces many runners. Hairless. Thick, brittle stems. Previously used for making soap. Height: 30-90cm.

Roadsides, waste ground, stream edges.
Garden escape.
