Fairy Foxglove

Family: Scrophulariaceae

Flowering: May-August. Short-lived perennial. Garden escape. Introduced.

Clusters of small pink to purple flowers, 5 notched petals fused into tube.
Basal rosette of spoon-shaped to oblong, toothed, stalked leaves.
Stem leaves smaller, stalkless. Hairy. Many-seeded fruiting capsules.
Semi-evergreen. Height: 5-20cm.

Full sun on rocks, walls, stony ground, often on limestone, lime mortar.
Widespread but local, can be persistent.
