Flowering time: June-August. Short-lived perennial. Native.

Spikes of small, usually 5-petalled, white flowers in racemes.
Basal rosette of short-stalked, untoothed, hairless leaves, similar to daisy.
Stem-leaves alternate, stalk-less. Height: 5-20cm.

Forms small, often transient colonies on permanently and seasonly wet ground. Most frequent by coast, also found inland in
western Ireland.
