Flowering time: May-July. Perennial. Native.

Axillary flowers with pink or whitish 5-lobed calyx, 5 stamens.
No petals. Stalkless.
Fleshy leaves, opposite, elliptical or oval. Numerous leafy stems.
Creeping or ascending growth habit, can form dense colonies.
Height / spread: 10-30cm

Coastal. Very frequent on salt-marshes, shingle, mud, damp dunes and
tidal riverbanks around Ireland.
