Flowering time: June-August. Perennial. Native.

Large bright-yellow flowers on un-furrowed stalks. (2 x buttercup size)
Narrow-lanceolate leaves, slightly toothed, hairless. Larger, stouter plant
than Lesser Spearwort. Spreads by underground stolons. Height: 60-120cm.

Fens, marshes, canals, reed-beds. Prefers base-rich still or slow water.
Most frequent in central Ireland.
