Greater Celandine Chelidonium majus Garra bhuí Family: Papaveraceae Flowering time: March-October. Perennial. Garden escape. Introduced. Small yellow flowers in clusters, 4-petalled. Fruit is a narrow capsule. Seeds freely. Green-grey leaves, pinnately lobed. Plant contains a caustic orange latex which can cause skin and eye irritation. Height: 30-90cm. Infrequent garden escape. Waste ground, pathways, roadsides. Mainly E Ireland. Unrelated: Lesser Celandine, Ranunculus ficaria
