Flowering: April-June. Annual. Introduced.

Small pale lilac-blue flowers in leaf axils. 2-4 seeds in capsule. Ivy-shaped
leaves, hairy, stalked, pinnate lobed, large-toothed. Sprawling growth, to 15cm.
  V. hederifolia ssp. hederifolia: blue anthers.
  V. hederifolia ssp. lucorum: White or paler-blue flowers, pale anthers.

Waste ground, woods, hedgerows, cultivated ground. Occasional to frequent in East half of Ireland, less frequent in west.
