Yellow flowers, 5-petalled. Sepals hairy, horizontally spreading.
Long-stalked lower leaves deeply divided, 5-7 lobes. Stem leaves stalkless.
Erect hairy plant without runners. Height: to 70cm.

Very common, roadsides, fields.

Similar: Bulbous Buttercup, R. bulbosus. Shorter plant,
swollen at stem-base, reflexed sepals.
